Chelsey James gets vulnerable in her newest single, “Steady.”

Chelsey James, an artist from Southwest Missouri, gets vulnerable in her latest single called “Steady,” which released August 27th. Chelsey stays true to her vulnerability by noting in an interview “This song by far was the most personal song I’ve ever released.” It was inspired by her husband who she says, “balances her out.” Her music video includes beautiful visuals representing what this songs reveals about the importance of certain individuals in our lives.

Chelsey had the title and first two lines of the chorus stuck in her head for at least six months before her co-writes Danny Orton and Kenny Lamb, brought the song to life. The song contains a strong acoustic lead resembling her authentic country sound. It reveals her powerhouse vocals and raw talent which closely represents her inspiration - Carrie Underwood.
