Nashville Reactions After Heartbreaking Tragedy
Hearts are breaking in Nashville, Tennessee due to a sudden tragedy that took place Monday morning at a small Christian school. Six lives were taken away, three nine year olds and three adults who taught at the school. The shooter was a Nashville native who previously attended The Covenant School. Many people died this day including the shooter making things very heavy in Nashville.
Teachers and students lives need to be protected at all costs and to live without fear, however it is alarming to live a safe life when there is so much harm and danger in the world that could happen at any given moment.
Lots of Nashville artists used their platform and spoke up about the situation. Country singer Carly Pearce stated “Pray for Nashville. A shooting at school has occurred. Three children dead. Praying for these babies and their families. Absolutely devastating.”
Sheryl Crow responded to the news on social media. “Our children deserve better. Praying for all affected. Tragic America.”
Other artists like LeAnn Rimes and Mickey Guyton spoke up about the rage and anger they feel towards politicians not handling the situation properly as children are getting assassinated in a place that is supposed to be safe.
Cole Swindell attended the 2023 iHeartradio Music Awards on Monday night and mentioned prayers and love giving to the Nashville community during his acceptance speech.
Many other artists came forward expressing the madness they feel towards the government and how they are handling the tragic event.
Presley Tennant released her latest EP “600 Miles” on November 30th, including a song ‘Loves Gonna Win’ originally written about the Uvalde school shooting that took place in 2022. The song channels all the hate that is happening in society and the only way to fix it is the love that people have to give in offer “deep inside the darkness”. She states a powerful message in the song, “through the chaos of noise there is a small resilient voice. If you’re listening its whispering that we have a choice.” Pray for Nashville communities and the loved ones that lost their lives.
